WHERE AM I BASED?
I am currently in Chester, however I class myself as a 'Destination Filmmaker / Photographer', so expect to travel for my jobs, so if you aren't local, please don't let location put you off contacting me!
WILL YOU SHOOT DESTINATION WEDDINGS / PROJECTS?
Absolutely yes! Shooting content abroad is what I love about working for myself. I offer my clients 2 different ways to pay for expenses; either for them to arrange my travel and accommodation (if needed) first hand, or for me to sort them out and then send receipts to be reimbursed.
DID YOU STUDY FILM AND/OR PHOTOGRAPHY?
Yes and no! I spent 3 years studying Film and Media Production at Sheffield Hallam University, with which I graduated with a 1st Class Honours Degree May 2017; however I did not study photography. This stemmed from my love of filming at the end of my first year and was then built into my career path.
HOW LONG SHOULD DELIVERY TAKE OF MY FILM / PHOTOS?
Most of the time scale is based on how busy I am with other bookings; if your wedding is in a low season, you can expect to see your film within 6 weeks, & photos within 2 weeks. however in high seasons, it can be up to 4-5 months for your film, or 6-8 weeks for photographs. i don't want to rush to make your content, so please take this into consideration.
DO YOU JUST DO FILM AND/OR PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?
No, I enjoy documenting all of life's events, and also creating fictional content too. In film, I aspire to create documentaries (due to my love of raw, spontaneous content) and actually have a few ideas on the roll for an upcoming documentary! Follow my Instagram for updates!
With my photography, I love to capture true emotion in a fully raw-documentary -fly-on-the-wall format, so any event you have where you want photos (or film) in a non obtrusive way, whether it be a gig, birthday, portrait or engagement session, and anything else you can think of, then drop me a message!
WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP THE IMAGES?
Unfortunately, no. I am a true believer of capturing raw and true emotion, and I believe that photoshopping images is changing what is true. I use a lot of polaroid and 35mm film (which you can have as an add on for your photography package if you're a fan like me of vintage) in my spare time, and massively enjoy the originality and rawness of an image that hasn't been altered.
The only changes that are made to the photographs are a custom made preset (filter) which is what gives my images the original look; this filter is also applied to films.
aRE ALL FILMS THE SAME LENGTH?
With your film package, the length of the film fits into a rough guideline; each film is to fit a purpose, and the timings stated are estimated how long it will take to fulfil that purpose! Each wedding is completely different, and this could result in your film being shorter or longer that estimated, however it is the length I believe fits for creative and practical reasons!
